Pierre Handl was born in Brussels, Belgium on March 12, 1947, to Valerie and Hans Handl. Pierre immigrated to the United States on the Queen Mary at the age of 6. He attended City College of New York and obtained his Bachelor of Science and a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, focused on water and forensics. After graduating, Pierre moved to California to pursue his Engineering career. He met Kathy Eskenazi in 1979 and they married shortly after in 1981 at the Sephardic Hebrew Center in Los Angeles. Pierre was particularly proud of his son Alan, daughter Marie, and grandson Hunter. He enjoyed watching the latest movies, collecting stamps, and staying current on world events. Pierre is survived by his wife Kathy, his son Alan and daughter-in-law Skyler, his daughter Marie and son-in-law Mathew, and his grandson Hunter.
