Obituary of Simon "Si" Arkoff
Please share a memory of Simon "Si" to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Simon Zachary Arkoff was born December 19, 1927, in Detroit, MI. and passed away peacefully on May 26, 2019 with his family at his bedside.
Si, as he was known to most, came to Los Angeles at age 4 with this parents Israel and Hattie Arkoff, who preceded him in death.
Si was in World War II and stationed overseas in Yokohama.
Si was an Electrical Engineer and specialized in microwave engineering for Hughes Aircraft for 38 years when he retired in 1988.
He is survived by the love of his life, Bobbette (Bobbie), of 68 years of marriage and their four children, Ilene DuBey (James), Lawrence Arkoff, Dr Harold Arkoff (Sharon), Norman Arkoff (Sandra) and his loving grandchildren,
Haley DuBey, Jillian and Samuel Arkoff.
He enjoyed many happy times with life long friends, especially the monthly meetings for 50 plus years of the “Poker Club.”
He loved to work on cars, watch TV, go camping with the Scouts, travel the world with family and friends, and to be at home with his family.
He was a quiet, loving, and caring man with a heart of gold. Family was always his top priority and he gave all his children and grandchildren a wonderful life. He will be sorely missed by all of us.
