Obituary of Arlene Epstein

Arlene Epstein, beloved sister, aunt and friend, passed away February 18, 2019 at the age of 73, in Los Angeles, California.

Arlene was born June 25, 1945 in Los Aneles to Mandel and Jessie Epstein. She is survived by her brother Allan and his wife Ava; her two nephews Jason and Daniel and Daniel’s wife Jessica, and their son Simon, her great nephew. 

Arlene graduated from Fairfax High School in 1963, and from UCLA in 1967.  While at Fairfax, she was very active in vollyball, and various Jewish youth groups.   After UCLA she trained as a Medical Technologist and worked for what is now Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for 40+ years.

She was very active in B’nai Brith Women and Jewish Women International, and held many offices and served as President numerous times.

Arlene enjoyed traveling and family.  Her proudest moments were being able to attend Jason’s graduation from medical school and residency; Daniel’s graduation from Dartmouth and from Georgetown Law; and the birth of Simon.

Forever in our hearts.  Arlene, we will miss you.
