Dearest Bobbe and family
I’m shocked an devastated to hear of Ben’s passing.....My husband and I have been clients of Ben for years...... my husband passed 5 years ago and at that time Ben called me frequently to see how I was doing....Ben was so surprised that my name and your name was spelled the same way.... I felt that I knew you through him.
I just talked with him in Nov and so great to hear from him...... what a caring and wonderful man......my prayers and thoughts are with your family.
Always Bobbe

What more can be said of a man’s life than he lived in his heart, that he was consistently and amazingly generous and that his generosity was exceeded only by his love of family, especially of his adopted children and grandchildren, whom he made his very own. He was especially caring of those he encountered, indeed, sought out, in unfortunate circumstances and in need of kindness and help. Ben Tadelis was simply one hell of a guy. He loved as he lived, deeply and vigorously and was in turn deeply loved by so very many, essentially by all who came to know him. So, too, was he greatly admired, and it was always a pleasure, indeed, often a joy to be in his gracious company. We feel great sorrow at Ben’s passing. He will be long mourned, greatly missed, and his life celebrated by many.

I am devastated by the loss of my high school boyfriend and lifelong friend.
I met Ben the summer of my 16th year. He was 17. I walked into a drug store up in the Borsch Belt, where I spent the summer with my grandparents at their bungalow colony. Ben worked there and was dressed in a white "intern" shirt and white pants. He had gorgeous red hair and deep blue eyes and being a normal 16 year old girl I thought, "Wow! He's so CUTE!"
We shared a fun summer and he became part of our family. I had no idea that was the beginning of a 55 year long friendship. After my heart stopped fluttering at that first meeting I became aware of how profoundly intelligent and decent this boy was. My parents and grandparents felt the same way and we all knew I was safe when I was with Ben. Ben and I had a lot of fun together. He had a terrific sense of humor. He loved to play cards and my grandmother Beckie was happy to play gin rummy with him. They were both competitive but Bubbie didn't mind that Ben beat her every time, which by the way, thrilled my grandfather Harry, who could never win a game against her.
For many years, Ben has managed our retirement fund. My husband Mike has been retired for a few years now and I like to tell people that the one who puts the smile on Mike's little old man retired face and KEEPS it there, is Ben! Not me!!
I love you Ben. Always did ... always will.
Thanks for the fun, the laughter, the joy of having you in my life all these years. And thanks for looking at this overweight grandmother of 70 and still seeing the 16 year girl you met in that South Fallsburg pharmacy so long ago.
As for me, I STILL think you're pretty cute!!
