Maryann was my work mom. I was 19 when I met her at the law firm we both worked at. We shared an office. She was a wonderful friend to me and later my family, after she moved to California.
I have only just learned of her death today and am saddened that I didn't know. Rest , sweet lady

I was thinking of you this morning and wishing we could have one of our morning chats. I miss you. I'm almost done taking care of your estate, and I hope you saw that your name was mentioned on national television for you generous donation to PBS!!! I'm so glad we became friends and went on our walks at Raven Paul and Company.

Maryann and I knew each other from the age of 13 through our classes at Catalina High School and through our families' Temple Emanuel membership and Sunday school classes. She was a good friend and we had much in common. I hadn't seen her for a long time but I thought of her often and was so sad to learn that she she has left us. I send my heartfelt condolences to her family.

Maryanne and I were at Times Mirror about the same years, her presence and laughter were welcome in all departments. I always envied her curly hair, too.
My husband Harvey Schneider and I send her family condolences, may the good memories keep Maryanne with you.

I was a work colleague of Maryann's from Times Mirror. I remember her as being very capable at her job. But mostly, I remember her as cheerful and friendly, going the extra mile to be helpful. My condolences to her family.

Our friendship began at work and continued on through retirement. We both enjoyed attending lectures, going on day trips, attending summer concerts in the park listening to swing, jazz, and opera. In good times and in low times Maryann provided guidance and encouragement. She has been the kind of friend that has keys to your home and you have keys to hers.
Because of Maryann, I now have a library card, and when I enter a market I head for the sales rack, and I see current films at a discount price, and I regularly make recipes that she has shared with me. I've been blessed to have such a friend.
May God bless you on your journey.

So sorry! We used to work together at Raven Paul. I retired in 2014. We used to go for a walk during lunch hours. I always missed her. Today I came across an email I sent her in 2012. Googled her name and found out she is not with us anymore. God light her path to haven. My number 714-256-4695

Galen: The service for your mom was so nice. So nice to meet friends and family I hadn't met before.
Your mom was a terrific lady and friend. I guess almost 30 years we were friends. I will miss her intelligence, her warmth, understanding, her humor. I always said she knew when to give you advice and when to not say anything. I'll miss talking with her on the phone for an hour or two and not being able to go to places of mutual interest with her. We had some good adventures together. I wish we could have had more. Well, maybe in the next life, God willing.
You are fortunate for her to be your mom. All my love -- Marilyn Hyland

One day at work, Maryann asked me "Do you eat lunch here?" I answered yes and that was the beginning of a long and wonderful friendship! I had such fun talking with her on the phone, our conversations usually lasted at least an hour! We had great fun touring new construction houses and townhomes because we both liked watching the real estate channel and seeing all the new decorating. She was a true and special friend who I will not forget. She had great interest in her friends and what we were up to and always had an ear to listen, a rare commodity in this world.. I will miss her greatly here on earth but am certain she is reunited with her parents who she missed so much and spoke of so fondly and is once again resumed to health and happiness.

My mother was everything to me. She was my guide through this life and now she has moved on to the next phase of her journey. I'm glad she feels no pain anymore & that she is in heaven with everybody she loved who has gone before her. I believe she is happy now and her wisdom will help me get through this life. I love you mom with all my heart.
