I had the distinct pleasure of working with Norm since 1989 when I was a Medical Director at Pacificare. He was my first and best ENT consultant; as an Internist Medical Director I will say that most of the ENT I know today I learned from Norm. But then I was able to convince him to follow me to PHCS (Private Healthcare Systems) where he served as the primary ENT Consultant for our Western half of the country, and finally, most significantly he served on our Medical Review Panel here at Considine & Associates here in Laguna Hills for 25 years. During that time he lead our ENT consulting team. Every phone call with him was a learning experience for me. Much of his ENT medical coding knowledge persists with us to this day. The great thing I will always remember about Norm is that he had an incredible practical knowledge of his medical specialty and he was always so willing to take the time to teach others. He always had time to talk no matter how busy he was. He had a great virtue of patience which we can all learn from. My best wishes to Ellen and his entire family. It was a great privilege to have known Dr. Norman Cantor.
