Obituary of Elaine Jacobs

We are saddened to inform you of the passing of Elaine Jacobs z'l, who passed away on January 16, 2022. Elaine was born on March 26, 1924 in Denver, Colorado and grew up there and in Salt Lake City, Utah. It was in Salt Lake City where she met and married her beloved Sid on April 18, 1943; and thus began a 74-year marriage filled with mutual love and adoration from beginning to the passing of Sid in 2017. After the war, they primarily lived in Denver, Colorado until 1963 when the family moved to Orange County where both Sid and Elaine remained until their passing. Elaine’s primary role in her life was family- wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother as well as being an elegant, loving, and funny friend to all who knew her. Elaine was the mother of Janice Goldberg and Robert Jacobs z'l. In addition to Janice, she is survived by her son in law Hon. Mitchel Goldberg (ret.); three granddaughters Andrea Goldberg, Shani Boone, and Erin Jacobs; and her two great grandsons Max and Sam Boone; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who knew her as “their Nana” Those wishing to make donations in her honor are encouraged to consider Temple Beth Tikvah in Fullerton, St. Jude Children's Hospital or the charity of your choice. Graveside Funeral Service will be Thursday, 01/20/2022 at 12 noon at Pacific View Memorial Park, or viewable by Zoom via the link on the left of the screen.
