Tim was a wonderful human being. He was someone we always looked forward to seeing. He radiated a sense of warmth and calm, and of "being present" with the people he was with. He was also just a super cool and talented person, always with great humility. He and Debra had a beautiful relationship where the mutual love, respect, and partnership was palpable and was manifest in the loving and welcoming home and beautiful family they created. We will miss Tim at every family gathering and wish Debra, Sarah and David strength and comfort.
With love,
Cousins Gail and Sam and family

Just thinking of and missing Tim today. He always had a smile on his face and was never to busy for anyone, from family to strangers.
Wishing I could give him a hug

I feel so grateful that while my Mom was an only child, she had Tim as a cousin. The whole Fletcher family has always felt closer than just cousins, because they have always been present for major milestones in our lives. From supporting my trips abroad, when I got married, to when my husband and I announced we were having a baby boy, and celebrating my son's first birthday this past summer. Tim always had such a gentle, kind, and gracious presence about him. He gave great hugs and asked great questions that showed he cared. He was always so sweet to my grandmother (his aunt) who I know cherished him like a son, and this photo was taken last May at her 98th birthday, where I wish we had taken more pictures, given more hugs, and spent more time catching up. He and Debra have always been an inspiration to me of kindness and generosity, and I pray that Tim is resting in peace. He will be so missed, but never forgotten.

Tim was one of those bright lights we come across during our journey on this planet. Every so often, as we walk along our path through life we find a light that give us a warm and pleasing vibe... that makes us yearn for more than we have... To spend some brief moment close to the light before we must pass.
And yet so few of us will get that chance to dwell awhile near the light because we are pulled away by the demands of our own path and so we continue on our journey appreciative of the moments we get to share.
Tim was exactly that kind of bright candle on our path. And while we grieve for the loss of this light we celebrate the moments we had and remember the times we all wish could have been longer.
God bless ALL of the Fletchers. May the hand of God be upon each of your shoulders reassuring you of the peace, love, and healing promised... forever.
With love from the Specks

Tim is a patient mentor. He has taught me many things. Some directly and some through just watching him go. Tim is a very smart man and very loyal. He gave us lots of one on one time and great pearls of wisdom before his retirement. Just as much as he talked about us, his work family, at home. We also heard lots about his family. He LOVES you all sooo much. He often talked about Debra and the kids. So when I saw the kids at the service, I was like, there’s David and Sara!! I got so excited to see Tim’s kids. He is very well liked and means so much to our department and personal lives as well. He’s a gentleman and nobody will be like Tim. We will miss him stealing moments to still come and have lunch with us post retirement. We love you Tim and family. Please let us know if there is anything we can do for you. -Ta’Nia Harris

When I would hear that Tim and Debra were coming for Shabbos I was always particularly happy and uplifted. Sitting next to Tim at the Shabbos table was a 'mechaya', a real joy. I used to think to myself "here is this man who is so gifted and so talented in so many areas that he could 'wow' us with all of his accomplishments all evening long, but he didn't. Instead, however, he would ask us how are things, pet the dog, stroke the cat, then he'd give that really warm "Tim" smile. We'd share some music talk, a little Torah talk, and then the time came for the l'chayim. Easy and simple...but warm and deep. That for me was like a reality check of Shabbos itself: stop, reflect, relax...Have a l'chayim: a toast to Hashem. Through these simple things I could appreciate that everything is okay, that the Master of the Universe is running the show.
Tim was like my favorite Chopin Nocturne, the one in Eb major, that I learned when I was a child: simple, direct, wondrous and eternally beautiful. He is very missed.

We were very blessed to have Tim in our lives. He was a kind and calming presence in a chaotic world. He was a devoted husband, Dad, uncle and brother and enjoyed friends and family gatherings.
Tim loved his work and his colleagues at the Cedars Sinai Imaging Department. He often described his long commute the first five years as his “work” because the rest of the day was interesting and fun and rewarding.
After we moved to LA, Tim felt welcomed by the chevra at the Happy Minyan and enjoyed the davening, the energy and the camaraderie.
He was passionate about skiing and volunteered for 40 years with the National Ski Patrol. Sara and David spent their early years learning to downhill ski and visiting him in the patrol room in Big Bear.
He grew up fishing on his father’s boat and continued this passion building aquariums and ponds and nurturing the fish. We joined the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, CA when it first opened and always enjoy visits there.
Tim was a musician and loved to listen to music. He played the piano or one of his many guitars every day. Attending concerts and events at the home of the LA Philharmonic or at the Hollywood Bowl was a favorite activity.
He was passionate about his family and his friends and he was interested in cars and in so many things. We lmiss him already. You may honor Tim’s life by donating to one of these or any other nonprofit organization.
