David Joel Romoff
Born June 13, 1959 in Los Angeles, CA to parents Martin Allen Romoff and Carol Romoff.
Died March 5, 2021 in West Covina, CA
Survived by his mother, Carol Reaver and his sister, Julia Lynne Canaga
Services held at Riverside National Cemetery on April 6, 2021
David was dearly loved by a very special and extended family including two nieces and their spouses (Jolene and Adam & Jaclyn and Rob), a great-nephew (Anderson) a great-niece (Alaina), an aunt (Stelle), and many wonderful cousins.
From the very beginning, he was very sweet and accepting of everyone he met. To quote his paternal grandmother: “He doesn’t have a mean bone in his body, and he couldn’t hurt a fly.”
He had many developmental challenges, but he always benefitted and grew from all the excellent educational opportunities provided by many resources.
David loved sports, and he was a very loyal fan of the Dodgers and the Lakers. In his youth, he enjoyed playing basketball with others in the Special Olympics program.
David will be missed very, very much, and all of us who knew and loved him were truly blessed to have him in our lives. His mother and sister will be planning a memorial gathering in David’s honor.
In his memory, donations can be made to the Special Olympics or to a favorite charity.
