So sorry to hear of Ralph's passing. I went all through school with Ralph in Dunsmuir. Reading the memories and comments others have written, I found all to be true. I would add that he was fun-loving, a bit mischevious, and always had a smile that made you think he was up to something. You will be fondly remembered, Ralph. Blessings to your family. I feel profound sadness with loss of my friend Ralph. Ralph was always trying to help someone in need, or not (LOL). He reveled in his role with the UP peer support group and operation red block. He truly cared for his fellow men and women. I have great memories of working with him at City of Industry. He always had his game on, scheming and wheeling dealing to make me look good as he got those trains out of the terminal.
His love for his family was an inspiration. Those times when we met for dinner with him and Sandy it was apparent how much he loved Sandy. My prayers go out to help Sandy cope with this great loss.

I am going to miss my friend Ralphie. I loved watching him wheel and deal at the Sema shows. I always enjoyed working with him. He was a true asset to the UP Peer support group. He cared so much for his fellow employees and always tried to make work a little better. I feel a huge void left with losing my good friend Ralph. My thoughts and prayers go to Sandy and Ralph’s family.

The love for my friend Ralph, Ralphie, Rona, Ralphie Baby, or simply Crest Conductor! was a wonderful friendship that started in 1980 and lasted until his early passing this year. He was a kind soul that cared deeply for his family and fellow railroaders, we were lucky enough to work the long pool, west end, locals, Conductors X-tra Board, union rep's, Region Eight meetings, you name it, we even enjoyed a few cold ones together. His love for his family was always priority one, from little league, vacations, anything to be with his family. We all are aware of the sacrifices Sandy made for Ralph, and for that we are eternally grateful, Ralph my friend, I will always remember our time together as fond memories and good friendship, Rest In Eternal Peace, continue at a high rate of speed, you have all greens from here Brother....Highball

With a heavy heart. i want to send my condolence to Sandy, Vanessa, and Justin. You where so lucky to of had such an amazing man for a Husband, Father and Friend. Ralph always was a joy to be around. HIs smile was so infectious and would light a room with his sense of humor.
