First time I ever met Fred and Lynn I had blue hair and piercings, I remember they told me they were thinking who DID they send to their house lol but they got to know me better and I WON their hearts and they won mine as well. It was never a dull moment around fred. I considered both of them like family, I never thought in a million years I would get so close to both of them and even welcoming them to my wedding day which was a special day for me and what made it more special for me, seeing him in my big day.
The 2nd picture I put up, it was Fred and mine favorite show (Name the price) we would see every morning when i would get there , we would always try and get the prices right. Sometimes I was wrong or Fred but it was a blessing to be able to share something so small as a show, but it was fun..
love you fred your memories will always stay in my heart.
hugs and kisses to Lynn and the family
I will always be one call away
. I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU FRED

First he was a poker buddy, then our accountant, then a dear friend. Lyn and Fred became good pals with whom we could let down our hair, laugh and share our lives. Funny thing was both Lynn and I have brothers named Fred, so we would always talk about "The Freds". I will miss Fred's wisdom, patience, sense of humor and his menschlekeit. May the beautiful memories you share bring you comfort.

Growing up, there was always “The Six”:Joan and Gil, Loretta and Jerry, and Cookie and Fred. I was always a little intimidated by Fred’s height, but as soon as he opened his mouth, it was clear he was a gentle giant. I remember him with Bobo their dog who slept in Shari’s room (much to my consternation) during sleep overs. I remember “The Six” one year at Family Camp at Lair of the Bear. Such great memories.
I last saw Fred at my Mom’s memorial in late November. Despite his challenges, he always had a warm smile for me. Cookie, Shari, and Karen—I know only too well what you’re going through right now. As I said to Karen, you all were there for me after Mom—just know that I’m here for you now.
Love, Claudia

Dear Fred,
I always looked forward to our Mondays together. I'd tell Shannon Sunday how excited I was that this was the week you were coming in. I always felt so comfortable talking to you about whatever. I mean, you had so much wisdom that I couldn't help but to ask questions about life, love/Shan... and taxes. You always seemed to have an answer that was thoughtfully crafted. You were always modest claiming that your insightful responses were due to decades of pondering. I mean you're not wrong but, what I believe trumps years of thought is a big brain and bigger heart. And at the end of the day, thats why we became friends. You were a genuine man who saw a boy who sought guidance. You took me under your wing and relayed to me a life times worth of wisdom. Of the many things you spoke of, one lesson stuck out most to me. "Shan is Shan. You are you. You fell in love with her because she is her. Not you". I loved that. You don't know how many times I've thought about that saying, at least twice a week! You always knew how analytical I was so you consistently reminded me to remember how to think illogically. Counter-intuitive to everything I have ever known, but I remember that you told me that "not every action needs a logical reaction". Fred, I cant thank you enough for everything you taught me about and helped me through. You will forever be in my heart and head. Love you buddy.
Dear Lyn, Bow, Shari, and Mesirov Family,
Thank you for sharing Fred with me. My sincerest condolences. I hope we meet soon.
Love,
Jamie

Dear Cookie, Shari, Karen and family,
From Indiana and Connecticut, from the East Coast and Midwest cousins to our West Coast family, we share our loving memories of a truly great and very tall man. Fred was probably the tallest in our family, at least that is how he will be remembered...that was certainly the first takeaway when he was introduced to us in Columbus Ohio, when he married our beloved cousin Cookie. As we got to know Fred, we understood that, not only did he stand tall, he was tall in spirit, in compassion, in courage, in warmth and he stood his tallest as a loving father and devoted husband.
Fred will be remembered by those who knew him the best and by those like us, separated by many miles, who wish they had known him better. Our sincere condolences to all of you. All of you are in our thoughts and prayers. As we light a candle in his memory, may his memory live on in those who survive and may his memory always be a blessing.
Love, Cousins Lenny Seidel and Lillian Lester

Fred was a very thoughtful husband to his wife, (my cousin) and his children and grand kids. Throughout his illness his nature showed us how courageous he was as well. I'm glad his suffering is over. Loved you, Fred.

Dear Lyn, Shari, and Karen,
I am so sorry to hear about Fred's passing, but I want to express my gratitude for being able to visit all of you last September. I was struck at that time by two over-riding impressions. First, I was amazed at the level of engagement and animation that Fred displayed as we talked, despite all of his obvious physical impediments. The insight and yet empathy which he displayed on that occasion will always be in my mind. And the other, perhaps more vivid impression which I am still unable to get out of my mind (fortunately) was/is that of family unity and mutual support. It was clear to me that from his abundance of love and care, Fred (and Lyn) have built a family structure that is kind, engaged, supportive, strong. I don't think I'm ever going to forget that, and my hope is that the next time I'm in the LA area (which hopefully will not be too long because my married son Aaron lives there), I will be able to see you, compare our memories, and celebrate the life of a loving, caring, engaged man. I send all of my love and support,

I've known Fred from the moment he moved to Columbus, Ohio many years ago, and swept Cookie off her feet! Fred was handsome, intelligent, loved to laugh, easy to know, and became a loving family man. He was a genuine, warm human being. He spoke to me often of his love for Cookie, and told me how he adored his beautiful daughters, his grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; he sent me loving photos of his family -- he was so proud of them!
Fred was a strong survivor; even tho it meant enduring great discomfort, he chose to bless us with his presence as long as possible, thus demonstrating his bravery and strength of character.
G-d rest his soul.
With love and admiration, Marilyn Kay
