Joshua What happened? You called. I wish I had heard something from you. I wish I had said something that would’ve changed what ever happened. I’m truly devastated by your passing. Why you? I’ve known others who’ve passed, but no ones passing has left me more in grief than yours. I loved knowing you. You were one of the good guys who just didn’t know it yet. Please know it now. I always looked forward to hearing from you after those 6-12 months or so. I would sometimes think of you and hoped you’d call soon. Then it would be the double call from your car. And a couple times it was your birthday. I can only hope I wasn’t the only one who was honored that you wished to spend your birthday with me. I hope all considered it an honor to be with you anytime. After no calls for 18 months and thinking Covid couldn’t have caused such a delay, I searched for family and spoke with a wonderful heartfelt relative of yours. She told me you had passed. I was floored. “What?” I said. And I still say. What happened to you? Not just then, but to all of you. Was this the plan your life was supposed to be? Why so short for someone who could have done so much? “Only the good die young” I’ll always be here for you. You know how to reach me. Two rings. Or climb through the window.. If not here, up there… Love you forever Josh!

I am so sorry and sending my love and prayers. I am thinking of you all. In particular, I am thinking of Josh. He was one of a kind. His infectious laughter, sincere and strong hugs. His penchant for owning more fish than The Long Beach Aquarium, his spot on impression of Smeagol (which no matter how many times he did it) had me in stitches. His zest for life. His plan for his next Halloween costume (the day after Halloween), his appreciation for music and the most admirable quality-his love for his family. I know I can speak for everyone that whenever they think of Josh, it will be with the fondest thoughts and smiles. The best memories.
