Lynne Kass passed on November 3, 2025, after a two and half year battle with metastatic breast cancer. Born in Yonkers, NY, in 1966, she attended St. Barnabas' school through high school. She graduated from Boston University with a degree in Journalism, and later attained a Masters in Public Health from UCLA. Lynne worked for the American Cancer Society in fund development and education for about 8 years before turning her full attention to raising her family and supporting her community as a volunteer, committee chair, board member, and ultimately board president for numerous non profit organizations in Long Beach and Los Alamitos, CA. She was recognized repeatedly for her selfless dedication to ensuring the sustainability and success of the organizations she served. She also owned and ran a party entertainment company, working with local actors to provide princesses and superheroes to children's birthdays and events.
Lynne loved reading, hiking, travel, theater, music, good food and wine, the Dodgers, Celtics, Bruins, and Commanders, and mostly the company of family and friends.
She is survived by her heartbroken family - husband Jonathan, children Sar (Liz), Gillian, and Max, her brother William (Beth), and a large community of friends and family members.
