So... Tibor is gone. Now what ? Parties will NEVER be the same without him... DARN. But wait ...
YES, they WILL !!!! Yes.. of course. Tibor lives on in so many others, and the others are ALWAYS at those best ever family parties. So ? I , we, will actually get to see / hear him after all...
Long live The Man ! The legend. Yes, going to miss your voice saying my name, ... I LOVE the way you said Natalie.. I will have somebody work on it ? But the rest of your being , there is enough instilled into others to still ' feel ' you around. Some people in this world truly never really 'die'. Love you, sister in law Natalie .
P.S. When I heard you ' passed on ', shall I say... I didn't think I could ever eat again. You'll be happy to know I was able to eat 2 hours later. As my friend Pat Kelly always says .. ( She's Irish ) .. " T'is a GOOD DAY when you can eat ! "
And I KNOW you'd be happy for me that the day actually did get O.K. after that. Hope there is plenty of great food wherever you may be, or your soul may wander .

I met Tibor at the chess park by the pier a few years before they tore it down.
I played him about 6 times before I knew who he was. Couldn't win a game. He was always very patient with me and said "take your time". Later I was talking to a friend and lamenting that I couldn't beat 'that guy'. He said: "That's Tibor Weinberger, he played against Bobby Fischer"! Later I asked Tibor about it, he simply said: "I didn't play well".
Later, I ran into Tibor and introduced myself and he kindly said: "I know who you are". He also took the time to come by and briefly watch one of my games in Las Vegas at the National Open. What I remember was that he was a very kind person, as well as a chess legend, winning so many chess tournaments over the years and decades, and I mean 1st place!!
Blessings, Andy Johnson Santa Monica.
